Pi elementary school ,,Meksiko,, was founded and it started with the work in 1922. It has been organizing educational work in this environment for (already ) 80 years. At the begining it organized work in a very difficult conditions, in private houses. New school building was made in 1964 owing to the great help of mexikan peope and the state Mexiko whose president at that time was Adolfo Lopez Mateos.

It was given as a gift to our students and people of our town. Since then the school has the name of the state Mexiko.

Mexican ambassador Delfin Sancez Huares gave keys of this building on February 8 th 1964. For a long time it was the only school in the town so in 1972. another school was founded (distinguished from this collective) called elementary school "Blazo Jokov Orlandic". 10 years later elementary school "Jugoslavia" was founded. After catastrophic eartguake in 1979 school building was very destroyed and a new one was founded in 1986.

Today this school has 755 students with 54 teachers and profesors. This year the school is going to celebrate 80 year of its existence and work.

Editorial board is formed and the president is Borislav Lalevic, president of the school board and honorary president is Mexican ambassador in Belgrade, Karlos Rodrigez Kosida.
